Matt Acheson

Art Curator

     Matthew Acheson is a nationally recognized puppet and theater artist, designer, director, fabricator, and performer whose work spans Broadway, film, opera, dance, and large-scale theatrical productions. Co-founder of AchesonWalsh Studios, Matt has collaborated with leading artists and organizations including Lincoln Center Theater, Cirque du Soleil, the Metropolitan Opera, Radio City Music Hall, and Disney Cruise Line, and served as Puppetry Director for War Horse at Lincoln Center Theater and its North American tour.

     Now based in Pittsburgh after more than 20 years in Brooklyn, Matt is excited to bring his extensive knowledge of art-making, fabrication, and visual storytelling to his new role as Business Development and Art Consultant for Harroun Designs, where he will work alongside architecture and design firms throughout Pittsburgh and the surrounding region to thoughtfully integrate distinctive artwork into interior environments.
